segui.live is made to follow a match without accounts and without profiling anyone. This page explains exactly what passes through our servers and for how long. It applies to the website and to the segui.live Android app, which work the same way.
Who is responsible
segui.live is run by Bobolar Limited, Slieveroe, Ower, Headford, H91 Y86H, Ireland, which is the controller of the data described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
The match
Whoever creates a match enters the team names and, if they like, a description and the kit colours. These, together with the score, are visible to anyone who has the link. While the match is on they live in memory for a few hours; the final result is saved so the link keeps showing it afterwards. No names of players are needed: please don't enter any.
Reactions and cheers
Reactions and cheers are counted together and shown as a stream, without saying who sent them.
What stays on your phone
The phone that creates the match keeps the secret key that lets it change the score; it never leaves the device and is not in the link. Whoever opens a match gets a random code in the browser's storage, used only to limit how many reactions one phone can send. If you choose a language, a cookie remembers it. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How we count visits
We count how many people open the home page, start creating a match and create one, as daily totals: country (from the network, at country level), where the visit came from (e.g. a search engine or a messaging app), type of device and language. To count unique visitors we compute, in memory, a fingerprint of the IP address and the browser mixed with a code that changes every day and is deleted after 48 hours: the IP address is never written down. The totals are kept for 90 days.
Protection from abuse
To stop anyone from overloading the service, the IP address is used as the key of short-lived counters that expire within an hour at most. Unexpected server errors are reported to an error-monitoring service to be fixed.
Your rights
Since we hold no accounts and no data that identifies you, there is usually nothing to look up or delete. For any question, or if you think a match contains something that shouldn't be there, write to [email protected] and we'll remove it.
